Jane's teaching

Jane has taught, performed and directed in the U.K., Spain, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Israel, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Florida. She has made long collaborations with student groups in the Universities of Lund, Uppsala, Tartu and Vilnius.

She taught for many years on the Baroque Interpretation course at The Malmö Academy of Music at Lund University, teaching baroque gesture and staging baroque opera performances, and on the Historical Dance course at Stockholm's University College of Dance, teaching text study and reconstruction. She has also taught at Rose Bruford Drama School, and given Shakespeare workshops in Stratford upon Avon for the Open University.

Jane has given guest lectures for the European Association of Dance Historians, the Courtauld Institute, the Slade School of Art, the Society of Dance History Scholars of America, the Dance Museum of Stockholm and the Nederlands Instituut voor de Dans. As a visiting teacher, she has given classes at the Bremen Akademie für Alte Musik, Basel's Schola Cantorum, and the Miami New World School of the Arts.
