The Wroclaw Masque Project

Sweet Music, Stunning Costumes, Dramatic Encounters and Sparkling Dance

A Timedance Hansa Project in collaboration with the Wroclaw University Early Dance Group, Mercurius, Baroque Future and the Philology Department of Wroclaw University

May 17th : "Lord Hay's Masque"

Welcome to the second part of our project - a staged production of "Lord Hay's Masque", written in 1607.

Music, dance and drama combine to honour the wedding of Lord Hay and his bride.

Flora, goddess of flowers, presents Nymphs, Sylvans and Satyrs to celebrate the marriage, while the goddess of Night frees the leafy Greenmen from their trees as they regain their human form and return to dance at court.

Having successfully completed our first venture with the January concert, we present "Lord Hay's Masque" in the Oratorium Marianum, Wroclaw, as a part of the "May with Early Music" Festival.

It will be a unique event.

Join us for the occasion at 20.00 on May 17th!
