The Goldenheart holds a particular place of privilege in the world of the poet's works. As the inspiration behind the "Goldenheart Cycles", a 49 poem construct that the poet wrote in a 48-hour span, and again acknowledged as the inspiration behind the award-winning poem "The Patchwork Skirt of My Love", her reign was brief and not without controversies, as the poet was in the midst of the often fragments relationship with the totem-muse known as "The Panther" when the Goldenheart made her mark.
The cover of the first edition of the poet's book "101 Great Love Poems" is the image of a golden heart locket, as reference to her.
