2008 poem expressing the desire to find a love. The poet has described this poem as "the steel that struck the flint that would become White Sunday". Intensely earnest and erotic.
-----
I want to share your skin
to fit me in
between the lies and your thighs
that deserve better fetters
than those shallow suitors.
I will find a new depth,
corners and curves untouched
as I enter your universe.
Oaths you have been loathe
to speak will come like sweat,
like you, long before I am through
expressing my desire for you,
a higher pyre than you've ever known.
A face to grace your gentle throne.
And nevermore to lay alone.
As I melt into you and seal
a full length kiss in memory.
