Hello Everyone,
This year for the Christmas party we are having a drive-in movie night. We will be watching two holiday shows: “The Elf on the Shelf” and “The Grinch that Stole Christmas.” Instead of having dinner, like we have had in the past, we will just be having snack foods, like at a movie theater. Let us know you are coming by signing up here. Food sign up list is here on the pack website.
We are asking that the kids bring their own cars to sit in, if they want. To make the cars a medium to large moving box works best. They run under $2.00 at Home Depot or Uhaul. The kids can design them however they want. You can use tuna cans for headlights, old 45 records for wheels. Let their imagination run wild through your recycle bin and craft supplies. This is just a fun thing for the kids to do at home. Bring them the night of the party so they can sit in it to watch the movie. If you have a shoe box and a binder clip, that will make a great old car hop tray to hold their snacks in. It is not mandatory for the kids to make a car, but it would be fun if they want to. Joann Lindh has made these before so if you have any questions, feel free to contact her at roxbylindh@yahoo.com.
We are going to show two short movies so that Santa can still stop by before the party comes to an end. We want to do something different, but still have fun!
Also- since it is the “Season of Giving” we are asking each person to bring a can good to put in the shopping cart for the church’s food bank.
