Luminria Fundraiser

It's that time of year again! The Pack 270 luminaria fundraiser is the pack's primary fundraiser providing funds for various outings, events, awards, and other essential scout supplies.

If you are not familiar with the luminaria fundraiser, various housing plans are targeted in North Huntingdon to light up the streets with candles on Christmas eve. The cub scouts and families participate by delivering the order forms, assembling the candle kits, and delivering the kits to the houses who have placed orders. Each order consists of 4 candles, 4 white bags, and enough sand to place in the white bags.

Here is what is being asked of the scouts and families:

- Thursday November 3rd: Flyer Assembly (Completed)

At the November's pack meeting the adults will be assembling/organizing the flyers for delivery.

- Saturday November 12th: Flyer Delivery (Completed)

We have designated streets that we sell the luninaria on. There will be a sign up for families to pick what streets they want to deliver the flyers to. The more families that deliver the quicker we get done. I do believe in years past it has taken my family 20-30 mins to put the flyers in the doors.

- Saturday December 17th: Luminaria Build and Delivery (Minnick Electric Garage Starting at 9:00AM)

We will meet and assemble the luminaria kits and deliver them to the houses that have placed an order with us. We will asking for anyone with a pick up if you can help with the deliveries.

Location: Minnick Electric garage off of Route 30 across the highway from Hartford Heights fire station and behind the Head Shed hair salon.

If you help out with two out of three steps with the luminaria we have a skating party, but only for those families that have help out.

Skating Party: Sunday January 8th Sarting at 5:30PM (Latrobe Skating Center)

Skating from 5:30PM until 8PM. Note: The kids have off that Monday for a Stewartsville Clerical day
