Daybreak Fuji

This apple is a sport of Yataka Fuji, discovered by Edward Rankin at Twin Springs Fruit Farm in Ortanna, Pennsylvania, and released for planting in 2002. This is a large apple with true Fuji flavor and crispness, and an attractive pinkish red color, not as intensive as later maturing strains. It has a crisp, juicy, slightly sub-acid white flesh with an outstanding texture, and ripens 6 to 8 weeks before conventional Fuji.

Uses: Fresh eating, juice/cider, sauce, baking (stays in slices)
