Changing the Face of West Jeff

In March 2016, the PTA kicked off a beautification initiative, Changing the Face of West Jeff Middle School, that included plans for landscaping the front of our school, adding outdoor seating for our students that will also serve as an outdoor learning space, and altering the school's foyer to create a more natural, useful and welcoming space for our students and staff.

Our community's efforts secured $30,000 in donated supplies and labor and raised funds toward a $20,000 goal through a check-writing campaign, laser-engraved paver sales, restaurant fundraising nights, local business support, and school store and "fun"draising school spirit events. The hardscaping portion of the project was completed in November 2016 with planting done in May 2017.

Thank you to Kelly Morris and Laurie Osborn for chairing the initiative, Lisa Webb of C&H Landscaping, Jeffco Public Schools, and all our family and community donors for helping make this project happen.

One of the fundraising events for the initiative was a "Meet in the Middle" Trivia Night on Friday, March 4, 2016. Attendees enjoyed a night of friendly competition with school and community members while raising over $2500 for the Changing the Face of West Jeff initiative. Thank you to everyone that played, stayed, and/or helped make this event such a success!

Trivia Night donors and sponsors - thanks!
