Destination Imagination News

On Saturday, March 5, the West Jeff Middle School PTA Destination Imagination team, The Mountain Eagles, competed in the Jeffco DI tournament. This amazing group of seventh graders, Rowan J, Maisie M., Silar W., Sienna W., Luke S., Indyka F., and Lily W. took first place in the middle school level service-learning challenge, Into the Furture. In addition, they took home an extremely coveted DaVinci Award for outstanding creativity and risk taking. Congratulations to this truly outstanding team, and good luck at states.

We would love to expand this program and have lots of DI teams at West Jeff Middle. The only thing holding us back is to have adults to mentor and manage teams. You can find out more about DI at destinationimagination.org. If you like what you see and would like to discuss managing, contact Laurie Woulfe at lh.woulfe@gmail.com

Welcome! We invite you to support the West Jefferson Middle School community however you feel best.

Regular meetings will be held bi-monthly on the fourth Tuesday of the month during the school year at 6:30 pm. We will be meeting in person, subject to change based on state and county public health guidelines.

We have an ongoing partnership with the Rotary Club of Conifer. The club provides volunteers and mentorship for our school's Interact Club and has awarded our PTA grant funds in several of the past years to support our educator grant program.

We thank Evergreen Orthodontic Specialists for sponsoring prizes in our Fall 2020 Clash of the Classrooms fundraiser. They provided gift cards to the highest overall fundraising homeroom, the highest overall individual fundraising student, and the highest fundraising homeroom class in each grade for each of the four weeks during the fundraiser: Additional information about the event is available on the Fundraising page on the school website.
