• Mapping Workshop

The mapping Workshop was based on distributing files via a CD in person.  We are experimenting with using Google Drives to distribute the files instead.  You need to get a copy of the CD or contact the webmaster (gmontanteweb@gmail.com) to make Walnut Creek CERT maps.

The class took two hours to cover the basic information including printing.

These files were installed onto each machine at the beginning of class.

To download and install the free Mapping Software (QGIS). 

        [a] Click for the download website for both Windows and Mac. 

        [b] In the page that opens, in the "Download for Windows" section, download

             the 32bit or 64bit version (2.14 or maybe 2.18) and install on your computer.

        [c] The Mac version download link is lower on the webpage.
