To become a CERT class graduate,
• take the City CERT class
Click Next Walnut Creek CERT Class (starts...) to pre-register.
Click CERT Class Administrator to get more info.
• note: WC CERT Class #2 (Fire and FRS) teaches FRS radios (class material is in a separate section).
If a person wants to get a HAM radio license for more advanced CERT usage,
• he or she needs to pass the FCC license exam (click HAM Cram Administrator for more information),
• take the "Getting on the Air" part 1 (class material is in a separate section below),
• order a ham radio (group deal for Wouxun KG-3UVD and Yaesu FT-60R radios material below),
• take the "Getting on the Air" part 2 (class material is in a separate section below)
To create maps for your CERT area,
• take the mapping workshop (click Mapping Coordinator to get more info).
