Work Experience

I became Executive Director  of the Guysborough County Community Business Development Corporation Limited (CBDC) in April 2003. I starting working with the organization as a Youth Intern in 1997. Upon completing the Internship, I took a term position as the Community Development Officer, followed with a term position at the Regional Development Authority (RDA), and then acted as the Senior Development Officer with the CBDC until becoming Executive Director.

My responsibilities as Executive Director include managing between four to eight core and contract staff while preparing, directing, and carrying out the policies of the Board of Directors. Other responsibilities include managing financial assistance programs, all loan investment recommendations, technical assistance programs, contract projects and staff, and other related administrative policies.
