In 1997-1998 the Nova Scotia Community College offered a Certificate in Community Economic Development (CED). I began working with the Guysborough County Community Business Development Corporation in September, 2007 as their Youth Development Officer so this program was really beneficial as it increased my knowledge in the area of Community Economic Develop enabling me to better assist business clients and work with community organizations. I have and will continue to use the skills l gained in this program to promote growth and development within my organization and myself.
The NSCC no longer offers the CED Certificate Program in this format so I have included a Course Outline (click to view) from the program that was offered in 1997/1998.
