Parke Humphrey

Parke N. Humphrey, 77, husband of Marilyn A. (Ayres) Humphrey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Phoenixville Hospital.
Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, he was the son of the late Fred and Carol (Hatfield) Humphrey. He started school in Villisca with the class of 1966 and remained in the class until his family moved from the district after third grade.
Parke proudly served in the United States Army. He was an avid runner who enjoyed participating in marathons and 10Ks. He also enjoyed reading and working on crossword puzzles. He followed all sports, both local high school and Philadelphia sports teams. He also played football, baseball and basketball in high school. He loved any sort of competition.
Parke was survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn; his daughter Laura Camp, wife of Frederick; brother Jon Humphrey, husband of Cathy; grandchildren, Lyndsay, Anna, Julia and Ryan; nieces and nephews, Nathan Humphrey, Cindy Stroik, Dan Stroik, Zachary Stroik, and Chris Godwin; brother-in-law, Gary Stroik husband of the late Joan (Humphrey) Stroik; and brother-in-law Gill Godwin, husband of the late Pam (Humphrey) Godwin.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 9:30 AM -10:45 AM at the New Hanover Lutheran Church in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania. A memorial service was held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial was held by the family at a later date.
