Richard (Rick) Blunt

April 12, 1948 - September 25, 1971

Richard Merlin Blunt died September 25, 1971, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines after a malignant tumor was found during surgery on his brain.

He was born April 12, 1948, and he was a member of the Class of 1966 while his family lived in Villisca. They moved from the school district in 1964.

Rick was survived by his wife, Sharon, of Indianola; his parents, Mervin and Reva (Ruby) Blunt; his sister, Sheryl (Dennis) Gross; and his brother, David.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 27, 1971, in Indianola. Rick was buried in the IOOF Cemetery there.
