If Venice Dies

I am excited to work on such an important project. Helping Venetians stay in Venice and moving the economy away from tourism is a huge undertaking, but one I firmly believe the Stay Venice Team will be able to contribute to.

While looking for resources, I found a book called If Venice Dies by Salvatore Settis. The first few chapters talk about what happens when a civilization forgets their heritage, referencing the "loss of memory" in Athens. This resource informs us of the motivation behind helping Venetians stay in Venice.

I look forward to finishing this book, and hopefully finding some potential solutions to this housing crisis proposed by the author.
