Vertical Timeline?

Hi everyone,

Since the last time I posted on this blog I found a new timeline. The timeline I found talks about the history of computers. A very interesting quality of this timeline, which made it standout out, is that timeline is vertical and not horizontal as most others. This timeline works very well for the short amounts of information, such as the history of computers which only have been around for 60 years. In this short timeline it is very easy to go from one end of the history to the other, but this would not be so effective for longer histories like the one of Venice. Nonetheless, I believe we could divide the history of Venice into time 6 or 7 eras vertically and then create a horizontal timeline with the complete history of each time era.

Apart from having a vertical timeline another thing I noticed about this one was that the information written in it was very concise and easy to understand. The information never went past three sentences which made it easy for me to read quickly and have a general idea about the topic. The only problem with this is that if I wanted more information about the topic I would have to do some external research of my own. To avoid this in our timeline we should compliment concise information about the events with external link to articles in Venipedia where the reader could obtain more information about specific events of their interest.
