Action Research:
Following the completion of a semester long action research project, the development of five student produced documentary films, I gathered data and reflected on the project:
My research questions:
*How would I encourage students to draw from their personal experiences in their documentaries?
*Paradoxically, how would I guide students to be open-minded to different or contradicting perspectives as they developed into filmmakers?
*And, most significantly, how would I convince a classroom of teenagers that creating a documentary is a worthwhile pursuit?
