While you are in the IAP program (Pre-sessional, EAP, AAP, MAP, Advanced MAP, and even Direct MAP or International Direct), you are paying your tuition and fees to the IAP program. Once you progress, you will be responsible for paying the University Bursar directly. Check your account regularly; any outstanding charges may result in not being able to register for classes!
The reason we handle your payment during your IAP program is that it can be very difficult to understand what your program of study will cost in advance, and University bills are very confusing. You will always see the following charges:
Your initial payment is typically due two weeks before arriving on campus. You must pay the full amount due no later than the start of classes or be at risk of having your classes dropped and being asked to leave housing. From time to time, you may incur extra charges which need to be paid quickly and no later than the start of the next semester. For students who are degree-seeking and enrolled in a major, there are often college-specific fees assessed per semester which may come due after arrival.
What if I see charges? If the charge is not something you were expecting, you should check with your SSA. You may have charges which are not part of your IAP program, and if they are not paid, you will not be able to register for classes for the next semester.
