Summary
Summary
SG-1 are summoned to a desert planet, while they wait a death glider crashes. It's Apophis! He's dying and seeks sanctuary.
As Apophis lays in the SGC infirmary he provokes different reactions from the SG-1 team members. Daniel shows compassion when the dazzled and confused host surfaces, he was once a scribe in ancient Egypt.
The Tok'Ra Martouf comes to warn them that holding Apophis is dangerous, another Goa'uld Sokar is after him and will attack earth.
An off world wormhole is established, the newly strengthened iris is bombarded by Sokar firing a particle accelerator at the wormhole, causing it to steadily rise in temperature. At one point the image of a face even appears on the iris and talks to them. Sokar warns them that if they do not return "what is his," they will all be destroyed.
However, the wormhole shuts down after 38 mins, Sam tries to dial out but Sokar beats her to it, next time they have modified the computer so they can dial faster. They establish a wormhole and send the now dead Apophis through it. However Martouf warns that Sokar will have a sarcophagus and will revive him and torture him.
