Movies

To prepare:

  • Read the chapter carefully, especially the Review, Analyze, Investigate section.
  • Review the part of the chapter on Movies (in purple) assigned to you.
  • Research your topic in the library.
  • Collect pictures, film clips and music files for the presentation.

The Presentation:

  • For this project you will give a presentation to the class that deals with the use of movies in mass media. You may use any method that is useful in providing information to the entire class. Here are some suggestions:Speech

  • Prezi
  • Homemade Video
  • Play enactment
  • Musical Enactment
  • Other presentation tools

Report information you learned about:

  1. People involved in this area of the movies.
  2. Pivotal events that occurred.
  3. Define 3-5 terms used in this selection.
  4. Identify some movies of the time period and what impact they had on this topic.
  5. Explain how and why the selection you are presenting is strongly connected to today's mass media in 2012-13.
