Minute Fact: Respecting Grand Lodge
When someone says "The Grand Lodge is arbitrary, oppressive, and unfair", this is probably ignorant and untrue, wrongly disparaging an already disempowered Grand Lodge.
When Grand Lodge Members join in a Toast to Grand Lodge, this diminishes the Grand Lodge.
When a Master-Elect must promise and swear to enforce obedience to the false purported "regulation" that "it is not in the power of any man, or body of men, to make innovation in the body of Masonry", this disenfranchises the Grand Lodge.
When the Grand Lodge is not told how many members it has, this debilitates the Grand Lodge.
Whenever someone creates or reinforces the misapprehension that the Grand Lodge consists only of the Grand Lodge Officers, this disparages the Grand Lodge.
The GLCPO Constitution recognizes the supremacy of the Grand Lodge over the Grand Master. It explicitly protects one right of the Grand Lodge:
The right of any Grand Lodge Member to appeal to the Grand Lodge from any decision or ruling of the Grand Master given in Grand Lodge.
