Parent Committee Meeting

The Troop 68 Parent’s Committee Meeting functions as an administration and support system for the Troop. The Troop Committee takes care of the non-program issues surrounding the Troop. For example: newsletters, Troop funds, fund raising activities, membership drives and Pack coordination, activity permits and coordination, advancement records, procurement and maintenance of Troop equipment.

All Parents are encouraged to attend the Parent’s Committee meetings. The committee meetings are held on the second Monday of every month, at 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the church’s gym.

Why should you the parent attend the parent’s committee meetings? The Parent’s Committee works with the Scoutmaster to provide the Scouts with the best program possible. The parents are welcome to give their input and be better informed about the troop activities.

The role of parents within Troop 68 is to be supportive of the Troop's efforts and to provide the atmosphere Scouts need to learn and excel. This Troop is as good as we make it. Only hard work and commitment from all members of this Troop can make this year a better one.

Remember, in this Troop, we do it for the Scouts!
