Dust clouds were recorded in Margaritifer Sinus and Mare Erythraeum on June 15, 2016 by D.J. Hanson. See his image above. The dust clouds or bright dust on the ground in Mare Erythraeum on June 18th may have evolved from the ones on June 15th.

The 'visible' SPC may be just starting to form. See red image. If that's the case then the SPC starts
to become visible much earlier in Winter than does the NPC. It is first visible at the end of Northern Winter.
