Jupiter on May 02, 2015 Warmer moist air seems to make for more stable seeing. Note dark spot in GRS.

Left image recorded in Very Good Seeing (S5). Right image is a jewel in Very Fine Seeing (S7) that is rare in the Midwest. Note: Small features in left image are even smaller in the right image. Planet rotates from right to left. Warm temps with more humidity may account for the much above average seeing conditions. Compare with March images below.

Compare March 6th details in the lower red North Equatorial belt and zone above it showing blue streaks with the March 8th NEB and zone above it. The 3 central meridians are almost the same in each image. Remember the NEB is streaming to the right and the zone is streaming to the left. In only two days there have been noticeable changes in the structures of both sets of features.
