Mar 04, 2006 at f/38 - Used Registax 2X Drizzle process. - Extended bright area on afternoon (left) limb in blue filter image could indicate clouds over the triple volcanoes. Blue filter image also shows large area of clouds extending from the South pole at the top Northward into Electris and Eridania in the Southern Hemisphere
Mar 03, 2006 at f/38 - Used Registax 2X Drizzle process. - Dark band across the top is Mare Sirenum and merges on the right with Mare Cimmerium best seen in the red image. Blue filter image shows large area of clouds over the dark Propontis Complex on the Northern limb at the bottom. Dark area at the lower right in the color and red image is the Trivium Charontis region.
Mar 01, 2006 at f/83 - The bright part of the South polar
hood at the top seems to diminish a lot West of the
central meridian per the blue-filter image. The region
including edge of the NPC looks less cloudy per the
blue-filter image. The region near Olympus Mons looks
cloudy per the blue-filter image.
Feb 27, 2006 at f/83 - The South polar hood at the top is relatively bright per color image and the blue-filter image. The region including edge of the NPC looks like it has clouded over per the blue-filter image.
Feb 24, 2006 at f/83 - Imaging in partly cloudy skies with some good seeing. The big change is the North polar cap at the bottom is clearly visible in the color picture aided by a more Northerly declination of Earth of -10 degrees. The red image below this set of images on the 19th also shows the NPC.
For comparison of features, Dec 08, 2005 at f/50 with Earth’s Declination at -19 degrees - SPC not visible and North Polar Hood at bottom; Numerous clouds in Antarctic; Hesperia at central meridian. Northern clouds in Aetheria and Isidis Regio North of Libya.
Feb 19, 2006 at f/83 - Imaging in very cold transparent skies with very good seeing. Both the color and Blue filtered images show a cloud band in the Southeastern Polar region and almost connecting to clouds in Hellas. NPH is bright.
Feb 19, 2006 at f/83 about 1/2 hour later - Seeing worsened. Both the color and Blue filtered images show a cloud in the Southeastern Polar region and almost connecting to clouds in Hellas. Bright cloud in Lybia. NPH is bright.
Saturn on Feb 19, 2006 at 4:38UT at f/55 - Imaging in very cold transparent skies with very good seeing. The storm at 35 South latitude is not visible. Some bright spots are visible to the far right in the South Equatorial belt. Note the green band in the south polar region
Saturn on March 1, 2006 at 04:21UT at f/55 with North at the top. Bright spot in the South Tropical zone left of center is probably the storm reported about 3 weeks ago. The spot is about 15 degrees West of the central meridian CMII of 80 degrees giving it a CMII of 95W degrees. This agrees fairly well with an observation by Brian Maynard of EOC on Feb 26th. The storm’s CMII for Brian’s image is about 123W degrees based on an image time of 02:30UT.
Feb 07, 2006 at f/83 - Imaging in mostly clear skies with very good seeing. Both the color and Blue filtered images show a cloud band over the South Pole and connecting to clouds just west of the Argyre basin. NPH is bright.
