This new course will provide the student with a more thorough understanding of the roles of tires in crash investigations. Students will learn about the different types of tires, proper use of tires, proper maintenance of tires, and how to determine what type of tire should be used on a specific vehicle. The lead instructor is a world-renowned expert on this topic.

Tire size
The reasons tires fail
What tire numbers and codes mean to an investigator
Proper maintenance of tires
Determining load limits and speed ratings
How to determine if tire failure contributed to a crash
Available investigational resources
Prerequisite: Students must have successfully passed a Level III Crash Reconstruction course to be eligible to attend.
Students must bring note-taking materials and a highlighter.
Dress is professional casual or uniform of the day.
