The SFST Refresher training ensures participants retain the important concepts
provided in the initial DWI Detection and SFST course through detailed explanations of the
evaluation procedures, careful demonstrations of these procedures (both "live" and via video), and ample opportunities for the participants to practice administering the evaluations.
Upon successfully completing this session, the participant will be able to:
· State the goals and objectives of the training
· Describe the training schedule and activities
· Describe the current DWI problem
· Define and describe impaired-driving enforcement programs
· Understand the roles and responsibilities of the DRE and how this course supports the DEC Program
Students must bring note taking materials and a hi-liter.
Dress is professional casual or uniform of the day.
There are no fees associated with this course.
Note: Students attending this class MUST already have taken the specialized SFST school before 2021. This class is designed for the practitioner who is “returning” to a line function or feels they need to “brush up” on their SFST knowledge and ability. Students will receive the latest updates to the SFSTs.
