NHTSA Instructor Development Course
Overview
This intense five-day workshop focuses on effective presentation and teaching skills. The workshop’s purpose is to help highway safety personnel and police professionals develop the knowledge and skills they need to serve more effectively as presenters, facilitators, and instructors. The workshop focuses on the principles, techniques, and guidelines of effective presentation, instruction, and facilitation.
Attendees will improve their skills in applying the teaching/learning process, giving effective presentations, and facilitating group processes. The course has many hands-on practical exercises and projects that will help the student become comfortable with public speaking.
MPCTC Instructor Certification will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.

Teaching/learning process
The domains of learning
Planning and organizing presentations
Curriculum development
Dealing with challenging classroom situations
Attire, Costs and Other Requirements
Students must bring a highlighter and note taking materials.
Dress is professional casual or uniform of the day.
