RESIDENT INFORMATION GUIDE
The purpose of this document is to provide information not available in Toby’s Rules and Regulations or from the Activity Board. It also lets residents know who we are and what we do.
TOBY’S RESIDENT COUNCIL : Toby’s Resident Council was established in 2009 with the principal objective of contributing to the enjoyment of residents by providing an effective communication link between residents and park management. The council is composed of up to 10 members with 2 elected representatives from each of the 5 sections of the park. Check out Toby’s website for representative’s names and lot numbers on your street. In addition to personal contact with your street representative, we have a suggestion box located in the lanai.
TOBY’S WEBSITE: This website was designed by Lori Adams specifically for the residents of Toby’s RV Resort for the purpose of sharing information relating to current events and activities within the park. This site is independent from the park and park management. The website is: http://sites.google.com/site/tobysrv
ACTIVITY COUNCIL: Responsible for social activities such as professional shows/dances and special events. Activity cards are available for a nominal fee. Admission to shows and dances with an activity card is generally free, without an activity card there will be a charge per person.
GRANNY’S CLOSET: Granny’s Closet was established by the Resident Council for the purpose of collecting and storing mobility aid equipment (such as canes, walkers, bedside commodes, etc.) and making it available for temporary loan to any resident in need. A complete list of equipment is available on Toby’s website. Please contact Carol Lee, Lot 117 (616-225-1501) or Sue Reynolds, Lot 240 (301)922-1085 to donate or borrow equipment.
TOBY’S MEMORIAL COMMITTEE: A bereavement committee has been established to help the family when a resident of Toby’s passes. The committee will assist the grieving family in all matters pertaining to arranging a memorial service in our clubhouse including clergy, luncheon, flowers, music, etc. Committee member contact list is posted in the lanai.
POT LUCK: Pot Luck dates are posted on the monthly Activity Calendar. Please bring a well-filled dish to share and your own place setting. Coffee, tea and lemonade are provided.
