It was noted that the Friday Coffee Hour will begin at 8:30 a.m. this year, with the business meeting beginning at 9:00 a.m. This is a change from previous years when social hour began at 8:00 a.m. As Marcy noted, “you can sleep in a little longer!”
Special thanks were given to Mike Reynolds, Dave Todd, Lucy Irmen, Bill Payne, John and Merlin Fischer for helping with the various aspects of the coffee hour.

Marcy pointed out that the sign- up sheet for morning coffee hosts/hostesses is posted in the lanai. It was also noted that the Fred and Bonnie Zerwitz will no longer be manning the Bicycle Drawing on Friday mornings, nor will Elaine and Frank Bishop be selling the 50-50 tickets. Therefore, it has been decided that in order to continue these activities, volunteers will be asked to take on these positions for only 1 month at a time. This is to allow more of our residents to help on a short-term basis. The sign-up sheets for these activities are also located in the lanai. Marcy thanked the Nelsons, Zerwitzs and Bishops for their many years of volunteering during the Coffee Hour.

Everyone attending is asked to sign up in the lanai, and if desiring a sandwich to note that on the sign-up sheet so appropriate sandwiches can be prepared.
As a part of the Fall Festival, of course, there will be several really fun games after the meal. But this year, residents are asked to “dress up like a SCARECROW”! Imaginationation, originality and creativity will help determine the winner by those residents present!!
The first park lunch will be served November 12; a Mystery Meal will be held on November 15 and a Road Rally will take place on November 28 with a soup-er supper to follow. There will be no charge for the Mystery Meal, but donations will be accepted for the soup-er supper. Marcy stated that the Mystery Meal and the Road Rally are not only FUN, but also HILARIOUS!! She invited everyone to join in on the fun. Sign-up sheets for the activities will be located in the lanai.
