Tyler's primary musical project in 2010 and 2011 was Brass to the Future. Since the band's reunion in late 2009, Tyler has churned out around 36 compositions, arrangements, and transcriptions, with a total of 45 charts. Several of these arrangements have been transcribed for brass quintet (2 trumpets, F. horn, trombone, and tuba) and are available for purchase.

Brass to the Future has performed with a number of noted artists and groups, including Harptallica and The Toasters. BttF does not play as often as during its 2010 heyday, but they are still available for concerts or private functions!
