Final Days in Spain – Begur

M – Have started our final days in Spain with a 7 hr drive from Nerja to just north of Valencia. The road to Granada is very dramatic and then the landscape changes to mile upon mile of olives. Just around Valdepenas it switches to mile upon mile of vines then switches to mile upon mile of citrus fruit trees. Great hotel in Castellon de la Plana, next to the port so we had to eat fish. 3 huge courses, inc wine for 20 euros a head.

Moved to to Begur and the Costa Brava. Fabulous hotel, the Aiguaclara, right in the old town. Quite quirky but so much better than a chain hotel. The coastline is very dramatic with great little coves and beaches, grabbing some last sunbathing on the beach before we move to France.

Am quite looking forward to being able to eat before 8pm. It's the earliest that the restaurants open.

p.s. Seems we have a camera problem - it was overexposing pictures and has finally died.

Being me, we have a second one plus the phones.
