In this unit we move further away from the edges of the city and move further into the rural environments into what we call the Remote Rural areas.
This time we need to start looking at some of the strategies that the government uses to try to manage and plan in the rural areas.
We have already established that there are difficulties and conflicts in the rural areas and the more remote the area, the more difficult the issues become.
Firstly, you will start to see how the countryside is managed and we will look at a range of agencies and interest groups but we will take a case study of the Peak District National Park as our main case study.
Secondly we look at National Parks and consider whether NI would benefit or lose out by having its own National Park.
