In recent years the speed of change within many populations around the world has started to move at a staggering speed. The population explosion in LEDCs has meant a huge number of babies being born around the world to create youthful populations.
In MEDCs, many countries have found their fertility rates and mortality rates to be decreasing to the point that in some countries there is a natural decrease.
