10: NEIPA - A Hazy Shade of Pale

A Hazy Shade of Pale NEIPA (Batch #1 OG 1054-1012, ~ABV = ~5.2%, brewed 11/05/19):

First attempt at a hazy/juicy NEIPA style beer.

Two weeks in the bottle and tastes good, has that juicy , acidy taste from the Mosaic hops but may add a few bittering hops for the next attempt (and swap to US ale yeast?)

Notes: Mash/sparge 5 deg C lower for next brew.

Ingredients:
3000g pale ale malt
1000g torrified wheat
500g cara aroma malt
500g Rolled oats
500g Malted oats

Mash/sparge:
Mash 3.5gal water @ 85C, 90m

Sparge ~3gal @75C for 5.5g of wort, keeping 2" of head above grain bed and a slow trickle to the boiler.

Hops:
No bittering hops (may add a few for next brew)
Citra (13.8%) 28g, hop stand 20m at 80C
Mosaic (13%) 25g, to primary fermentation
Cascade (13%) 25g, to primary fermentation
Mosaic 75g, dryhop 3d prior to bottling
500g mango pulp (tin) post fermentation (not sure it was needed)
Unfined and no Irish moss in the boil

Yeast: SAFALE-04 (English)

FG 1012, ABV = (1053-1012)*0.129 = ~5.2% ABV
Bottled 27/05/19

Priming Sugar: 5g granulated sugar per 500 ml
