April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day, though not a holiday in its own right, is a notable day celebrated in many countries on April 1. The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends and neighbors, or sending them on fools' errands, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible.
April fools we be to fall for the practical jokes, hoaxes and pranks on April 1, the one holiday of the year we should be expecting shenanigans. April fools come in various kinds, sizes, colors and ethnicities. We're big and small and fat and slim and yes even smart most of the time. But this one holiday a year we can be caught off-guard. Enjoy the practical jokes, gag gifts, pranks and hoaxes and April fools tomfoolery.
