The frost worm died in an explosion of ice and guts, causing a cave-in that blocked the way they came and giving the party little choice but to continue onward. They found the giants they had been searching for and slew them, along with their white dragon pets and their leader, a cleric of Kostchtchie. While they didn't find the dozen missing caravan members, they did find a pile of bodies in a side chamber, stacked like cordwood. Searching through the corpses, Isadora and Lariss realized that they recognized three of them – their fallen comrades, Varn and Brother Kassuth, and Lieutenant Krane, late of the Golden Legion. These were friends and associates from Augustana who had died during the Summer of Troubles, their bodies buried, cremated, and entombed. respectively. Upon investigation, all eight of the corpses appeared to have been dead for approximately six months.After investigating the rest of the giants' living areas, they moved on, into the lair of a white dragon. A wight dragon. A wight white dragon. A brief but brutal combat followed, with the Raven Company defeating the undead wyrm and claiming its treasure as their own.
