GFOI Americas Regional Workshops
The South Initiative - South, four country clubs in the Americas (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Mexico) travez foreign cooperation, as is CSIRO in Australia, the Moore Foundation, The Program Silvacarbon federal agencies in the United States, and the Woods Hole Research Center , You have planned a series of five workshops in the Americas to Provide technical training for building national MRV systems, and regional cooperation. The Forest Carbon Tracking Task (GEO FCT) has-been established to support country clubs wanting to Establish national forest-change, carbon estimation and reporting systems. Facilitate It will access to long-term satellite, airborne and in situ data , The Associated Provide analysis and prediction tools, and create the framework and technical standards for appropriate` a global network of National Forest Carbon tracking systems. The task Follows the guidelines out in September by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) .
