Usos y Procesamientos de Imágenes Satelitales de Radar para Monitoreo y Mapeo de Bosques de acuerdo a la Iniciativa de GEO
En nombre de GEO Forest Carbon Tracking initiative (GEO-FCT), El Instituto de Hidrología Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales (IDEAM), y el programa SilvaCarbon, nos complacemos en anunciar el cuarto taller de Monitoreo de Bosques "iniciativa técnica de las Américas de GEO-FCT" para el procesamiento digital de imágenes de Radar, el cual se realizará del 5 al 9 de marzo de 2012 en Bogotá Colombia.
El procesamiento de imágenes de radar es vital para la implementación de los sistemas de monitoreo del bosque, especialmente en áreas con condiciones climáticas adversas. Sin embargo, la capacidad de utilizar efectivamente esta tecnología en la región es limitada y es necesario mejorar la capacidad técnica de las instituciones. Este taller les dará la oportunidad de interactuar de cerca con los colegas de Woods Hole Research Center (WHRC), InfoTerra y SarVision, aprender conceptos básicos y diferentes enfoques establecidos para procesar datos de radar así como su aplicación en el monitoreo de bosques.
Use and Processing of Radar Imagery for Forest Monitoring
On behalf of the GEO Forest Carbon Tracking initiative (GEO-FCT), the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM), and the program SilvaCarbon, we are pleased to announce the Fourth Workshop on Forest Monitoring "The Technical Americas Initiative GEO-FCT" on Digital Image Processing for Radar, to be held from March 5 - 9, 2012 in Bogota, Colombia.
Radar image processing is vital for the implementation of systems of forest monitoring, especially in areas with adverse climatic conditions, but the ability to effectively use this technology in the region is limited. It is necessary to improve the technical capacity of institutions. This workshop will give you the opportunity to interact closely with colleagues of Woods Hole Research Center (WHRC), InfoTerra and SarVision, learning the basic concepts and different approaches to process radar data sets as applied to forest monitoring.
