Q: What do I bring the first day of camp?
A: Your good attitude, any outstanding enrollment forms (pizza, photo, volunteer) and your bag lunch.
Q: What do I wear to camp?
A: Wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing to keep you cool since we will be moving around a lot, inside and outside. We will be working on a variety of messy art projects that will be used during the production. Wear clothing that can get dirty. You must wear shoes that will stay on your feet and are easy to move in, flip flops, heels, etc. are not appropriate.
Q: What if I ride my bike to camp?
A: Bikes can be locked up outside just west of the North Entrance on the Julian front lawn. Please bring your own lock.
Q: Can I bring personal items to camp?
A: You will be so busy throughout the entire day there will be no time to use them. Also, we have no safe way to store them for you so there is a risk you might go home without something that is valuable or important to you.
Q: What kind of lunch should I bring?
A: To be a performer you must be in top physical condition. We recommend a healthy breakfast and lunch that includes fruits and vegetables. Pack a lunch that is ready to eat since we cannot refrigerate or microwave them.
Q: What will my costume be? Big Camp
A: Your costume depends on your part. You will receive a detailed description of your costume during the first week. You will be expected to provide some very basic items and Cast will add pieces which complete the costume.
Q: Do I have to come every day?
A: The entire day is spent teaching you everything you need to know for your performance. You will need all of this time to be ready. If you are late to camp or absent you will miss valuable time needed to learn and perfect the songs and dances. The entire company is counting on you to keep your commitment!
Q: What if I am sick or must miss a day for another commitment?
A: If you are sick, must miss a day, or know you will be late, call the Cast Lab (708-524-7848) and let us know as soon as possible so we can plan for your absence.
