Students often fill in a blank multiplication table by skip counting or successive addition. 
However, these methods are limited in helping students memorize their multiplication facts.  Here are two strategies to help students focus on memorizing their multiplication facts.

1)  Use a blank multiplication table with the numbers in the rows and columns scrambled.

  • Pick from the following multiplication tables:
    • Two through eleven
    • Two through twelve
    • One through  eleven
2)  Flash cards that can be scrambled.
