From Peter's email 28 April 2018:-
Hi All
We had a good 16 rounds today on Pole Hill. The wind was fairly light and very variable but we ticked through the rounds hoping the luck would level out eventually.
It probably didn’t as usual but that is part of the attraction of F3F, on any given day, it might be your day. And it can throw up some surprises…
Well today it did! I fully expected to be beaten today by Ewan who had some scorching times including FTD of 41.50 in round 10. However, it was George who came out on top sneaking up on the rails with a string of round wins and very solid times in the latter rounds. So well done George, not bad after a lengthy break!!
At the other end of the lucky scale was Dave who got one decent climb out and two legs in good air all day. Hard lines Dave.
1 George Young 13515.90
2 Ewan Maxwell 13357.92
3 Peter Gunning 13180.75
4 Ian Simpson 12025.45
5 David Watson 11766.35
FTD: Ewan Maxwell 41.50
It was really refreshing to have Ian’s son Cole (9 yrs old) on the slope today. I have never seen someone so excited about F3F for such a long time, his running commentary was great too, priceless at times! It would be great to see him racing some time in the future.
Thanks to all for coming, next comp in just 2 weeks time on 12th May
