Well that was a good day.

The wind was blowing 8ms with bright sunshine to start, it clouded over a bit later on but the wind also picked up and improved the times a bit.

It felt like it should have been faster but the air felt thick/moist to me and thermal assistance was fleeting, not ‘boomers’ and rarely lasting for a whole run.

It felt pretty close between Mike, Kevin and myself with all of us putting in round winning times. We won’t talk about Ewan’s pumping accident as his model survived unscathed (another life used up on that one!). Mike led early on but hooked some stinky air in rounds 5/6 which let me creep ahead and he didn’t recover the lead. Kevin had some really good times with his pitbull 2 and was only a smidge off FTD in the end.

Results were as follows:

1          Peter Gunning               10687.50

2          Mike McCracken          10519.69

3          Kevin Newton               10181.70

4          Ewan Maxwell               9943.56

5          Ian Simpson                   9530.97

FTD Peter Gunning – 44.49

The timing gear has got an issue with ‘pilots’ at the minute so I will need to take it to see David Loomes. I have manually input the times to the easy spreadsheet and attach this for your amusement.

See you all next month if not before

Cheers

Peter
