2013 Project:

Light Bot

This is the LightBot that I built with my Dad for the Young Inventor Program in 2013:

He has a motion sensor in front, batteries below his feet, and glow in the dark head and arms.  You can turn his head and move his arms up and down to aim the lights.

It is hacked from a battery powered Sylvania motion sensing light from Lowes:

 Designed into the shape of a "Makey" Robot mascot (From the Maker Faire)
