Welcome to the Web Site of the Boise Schwarthoff Family!
Please check back for new pictures once a month!
Allen Frohe Weihnachten!
To all of you Merry Christmas!

The below gift wrapping reads: "from Santa to Hubert - is actually Abraham".
Today, we feature a boy named Noah.
Still life in advent. The cannon was placed as decorative item by someone young.
The bunny suit is the same he was wearing on the Christmas 2007 picture here.
This morning in Boise (Nov 15th):
St. Martin in the Snow!
Record snowfall.
Happy Birthday, Grandma.
We give Thanks.
Glad to be back from Singapore and Germany. We are eating spicy curry now. Yum!
Next up, repair the sprinkler, dig up the foundation of a rotten fence post, plan some doctor's visits, start the orchestra and choir season, get going on first communion preparation.
Here some bikers coming back from church, some with soccer balls from the Knights of Columbus soccer challenge. We had a good match in the backyard: Helena & Dad vs. The Boys.
Oh and there was a storm last week that blew down almost half of our willow tree.
Hello Birthday!
Hello Idaho Mountains!
Alas, the family stays home, while I fly around the world. See you next month.
And this year's summer vacation report is coming from:
To be found in the pictures:
The motto of the trip was: "I have to go potty"
Which means that we did not attempt to hike any trails where the distance between pit toilets is more than a quarter mile.
Bathrooms notwithstanding, this was a great family vacation.
School starts tomorrow. The very school that is very close to our house. We won't have to worry about driving or riding the bus to school ever again, until they leave for college. Cool!
Out again camping at Bull Trout Lake.
The Wohnwagen had issues with empty battery, but that is now behind us, thanks to a solar panel.
The Auto also had issues, with overheated transmission, but that is now behind us, thanks to a friendly Boise mechanic.
The kids had issues ... ok, we hiked and boated, and grilled fresh fish. Idaho is beautiful!
Vacation, soon.
Look, the scenery. Camping in the Boise National Forest, no more than 90 minutes from home.
Plus, you can make a show here, too.
With mom out the following weekend on a women's retreat, we have fantastic sunshine and blue skies and enjoy dinner at the West Side Drive In.
Today, there is a concert.
Two musicians,
one conductor.
In pajamas.
Birthday. 18 years.
Ski season is going strong this spring. But it has to compete now with activity planning for one week of spring break (no school), lots of activity planning for summer break, and getting the house and yard in shape. The lawns have started to grow already, thanks to the wet February and a number of warm days earlier this month (it's cold now though).
Preparations for Holy Week and boys' birthdays are also cooking...
Here some more moments from the lives of three crazy little people.
Ja, Daddy, ich sprech wieder Deutsch zu Hause... it's hard to keep it alive. Everybody else speaks only English.
The boys are working on their derby cars (boy scouts). Helena on new teeth. Parents are practicing music.
Here are some portraits.
Germany has left us some great memories.
German school, two sets of grandma-grandpa, who love nothing more than spoiling the little ones.
Walks in the park, New Year's party, visits to the zoo, playtime with cousins, and all while speaking German.
Nothing but memories, for we are back in Boise, back in school, back at work, and going to our first Idaho Steelheads game.
What a noise!
And of course it's Ski season!
Not to mention that it's planning time for summer vacation.
May all your wishes for 2014 come true.
