Welcome to the Web Site of the Boise Schwarthoff Family!
The house is a work in progress, and it's wonderful to live in. I will be working at the closer location next year. The worst case is staved off! Christmas time comes with special meaning this time. The boys have a new passion: sitting on a chair (for 13 seconds, no more, of course). This time, it's their very own chair, plus a nice blue table (they came for Christmas).
The goal is almost reached: Our new home!
We are fortunate to be able to move into our "new" home in Boise. The trees are not green any more, as winter is approaching with rain and cold. The list of things that need to be done yesterday is still growing. Little does that cloud our joy over our own space. Abraham and Noah are happy, trying out the new bath tub.
We still do not know where I will be working next year.
We inhabit a decent two bedroom place in a pretty sterile apartment complex. But it has cable TV, a phone, and internet, which we can't live without any more. Abraham and Noah enjoy the balkony, where they can watch people and cars go by.
After finding a nice house pretty close by, my employer tells me on my first day at work that our group will move to a different location! So much for choosing a house based on work location. We are trembling until we find out whether the new place will be 8 miles away in West Boise or 25 miles away in Nampa. Let's hope it is Boise!
(Almost) everything has changed. We have uprooted and settled 2300 miles to the west, in Boise, Idaho.
See this map if you want to know where Boise is. We have moved into a temporary apartment and started to look for a house.
Mum explains why next month (almost) everything will change.
Current objective: Learn how to walk.
Status of program: Taking first steps without hurting self. Speech development on hold.
Don't you see - we are in fact sprouting our first tooth (both on the same day).
Found out that things in the kitchen drawers are much more interesting than children's toys.
First attempts to crawl have resulted in success at climbing each other.
Yes, we made it, and what a reason to be thankful and happy!!
We want to congratulate Great-grandma to her 100th birthday!
This is how it's done.
The new year
