Week 5

This module aims to explore high quality presentational skills required for the modern-day teacher. In a time where student attention is drawn to media and digital devices, teachers are encouraged to apply suitable educational content for students improve teaching and learning processes. A good example may include flipped or blended learning techniques rather than static PowerPoint presentations. To demonstrate this understanding, several video tutorials and articles were studied to gain insight into the five principles of effective presentations. Following this, the assessment required to revamp a PowerPoint presentation by demonstrating the application of the 5 principles. My independent research led me to use the app Keynote in conjunction with a Wacom Creative Tablet to rejuvenate existing content. My objective was to focus on engaging, student-centered learning as a more flexible presentation structure. The outcome is presented below.
