The Best Resource for BSA Camp and Council History

posted Aug 15, 2014, 9:41 AM by Jason Spangler Santeeswapper
For the last few years I've been the publisher for a terrific Scouting resource call the Camp Book II.  Written by Bob Sherman, Dave Minihan and Kevin Doyle this resource is the compilation of twenty years of work by a team of state editors to document every known BSA camp.  Along the way they uncovered lots of history on the early councils of the BSA including all the mergers and consolidations over the years.  This book has just been updated with hundreds of new entries and has been released as the Camp Book II Version 2 (2014 edition).  It is 1250 pages long and is a must for any serious Scout patch collector.  You can find out more of the story and listen to an interview with Bob Sherman at ScoutingHotFinds.com.
