Harris Hospiscare Bluebell Walk - 8th May 2011

We weren't actually supposed to have a full stand here, but we're glad we did! Jane was taking part in the sponsored Bluebell Walk, so Luc and Emma offered to bring along two or three snakes as a taster for the Harris Hospiscare Summer Fair (25th June); during the week we checked HH's Facebook page and found that "a reptile petting zoo" was promised. That would be more than two or three snakes then! We did, however, decide not to take any lizards; they will come out for the June show.

It was a wonderful day with a great atmosphere. As always, we had a number of people nervously edging forward, gathering all their courage to touch a snake for the first time - and then almost instantly falling in love with them. The children were all excellently behaved and very polite. Calleigh proved popular, as did the pythons - and Citrine met someone important!
